How does IPL Rejuvenate Skin?
IPL emits filtered light and in these strong pulses stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. This tightens the skin which can result in refinement of the appearance of fine lines and pore size. Skin tone is affected because it targets the melanin in the skin, the brown spots can be diminished with IPL, resulting in a more youthful, even complexion. This causes cellular turnover, and the body will reabsorb the melanin that has been targeted by the Intense Pulsed Light, resulting in lightened sun spots, ages spots and freckles.
